Checked out and going very soon....

We went for a test sail this morning. The trimtab which Rod fitted as a backup to our big autohelm didn't work .......so back to the drawing boards. Otherwise we have a few things still to do on board before we cast off the lines! Sheer Tenacity is sailing beautifully in spite of being a few tons heavier! We still have to load fresh fruit and veg, diesel and water. We checked out today with Immigration and Customs with no dramas which we were expecting after hearing fellow cruisers stories! Hopefully the crossing will be as smooth. Our next posting will be from the ocean via our daughter, Kate.

on the countdown

We have had our last haulout and spent the last couple of days antifouling and raising the waterline to cope with the extra weight of cruising gear, fuel, water and food. We're working our way frustratingly through mountains of admin, shopping etc. Hopefully we''ll be setting sail in about 10 days time. The butterflies are winding up!!
